Hey Folks!
Here's my custom creation, up on the block to fund a recent purchase.
It's my version of a 5 string Decade. I took a SBMM Ray 35, gutted it. Michael Dolan refinned it to Surf Green and filled in the battery box cavity, then routed to fit 2 Chi Sonics (Single Coils). I wired everything up passive (V/V/T with a series switch). The back of the neck has been buffed out to a very nice gloss, feels just like my AVRI Fender. Comes in a Stingray 5 HSC.

The ChiSonics are neo magnets, and I think I remember resistance in the 6k range - but that could be my imagination. Either way, they're very full-range and dynamically responsive. I definitely enjoy their sound. |
