FS: Custom F Bass AC6 - 6 String Fretless Bass
 

Unfortunately I have to sell my beautiful F Bass AC6 - The King of Fretless Basses!

This bass was originally bought in 2007 but was customised and fully re-finished in August 2009 by George Furlanetto himself at F Bass in Canada. Customisations include:

2nd magnetic pickup (in Neck Position),
with additional Volume/blend control,
Master Standby Switch,
Fret lines,
Inset strap locks, and
Custom 'Solid Red' Finish.

The bass comes with an F Bass / ProTec Gig Bag, an SKB Flight Shell, an F Bass Leather Strap and 3 Sets of F Bass strings.
The total List price for ordering an AC6 with these specs is $9,289.00 USD, with a direct price of $7,895.65USD. The bass is in MINT condition and I am asking for $7000 AUD.

Will ship anywhere worldwide at the buyers expense. (Bass is located in Melbourne, Australia).

I've been keeping an eye on the US / AUD exchange rate over the past few weeks and have seen it slide in favour of both currencies by percentages of cents. It does seem to be hovering in favour of the AUD by 2-3c at the moment.
Of course, I would be willing to negotiate on freight if the exchange rate slid too far in favour of the AUD for a US buyer.

Are you sure this doesn't have custom string-spacing? Looks a little tighter at the bridge. Nowadays that is a $1000 option.

Man, my AC5 was sooooo easy to play. These are about the sweetest fretless basses you can get. I also had a BNF6. George's 6's are perfect balance and feel. The only reason I gave in and got the 5 was that I was hoping to trade up to a 6, but life got in the way.

Out of my league Bump for this one.

I believe it's standard F Bass string spacing at 19mm... I measure it just to be sure and get back to you!

Apologies for the belated reply. Looks like the spacing is actually 16.5 or 16.8mm...
