$149 + shipping!
This is a $165 reduction in price from a previous listing I have $185 invested in new parts, not to mention many hours of sanding and finishing the bass
I have been gigging with this bass in addition to my Peavey TL-5 for a couple of months now due to the fact that our band uses D tuning on a third of our songs. Everyone loves the look and likes the feel of the bass
This is a rebuild of a black ESP F gothic body that I purchased on E-bay. I added a neck to the bass and entirely stripped the body down to the base lacquer coat. I then distressed the base coat so that the walnut stain would show in patches depending on the angle of the wood grain in the agathis body. I veneered the flat part of the body with a thick walnut burl. I then installed brand new mighty mite passive soapbars and new passive controls, and built walnut knobs and a ramp with my logo in fiddleback maple. (the ramp can be removed as it is held in place with double stick tape)
This is a sweet playing and sounding bass, and I probably would keep it, but I am using a Fender Jazz-V for the D tuned bass now. I had started to rebuild/refurbish several basses last year, but the market seemed to have died out for awhile. I have three more in the works at this time and need to sell some of the ones that are finished. This price is half of what it should be sold for, so don't miss out on a deal.
I am looking to get a Squier or SX P/J (prefer 5-string) WOULD CONSIDER A TRADE
