Thumbs up FS: Custom Shop Peavy Cirrus 5'er!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Just got this bass in a trade and I am just not feeling it. Its an awesome bass but 35" scale and wide string spacing is just a no go for me. This bass has TONS of tone. I been messing with it but with a bad wrist and small hands I need to stick with 4 strings or narrow 5 stringer. I have a bass set to buy so I rather sell at this point unless you have something really interesting.
The bass has an ash back with wenge top. Walnut/maple stringer neck. Ebony board. It has a brass nut and custom wooden knobs and wooden rear cavity covers.
Electronics: Nordstrand Dual Coil soapbars. Aguilar odp-3 preamp with vintage tone knob. It also has toggle switches for each pickup to go in series/parallel/single coil.
Endless possibilities.
Will ship with hard shell case I received in. Just a standard case but bass fits nice and snug.

Asking Price: $1250.00 shipped!!

heres one picture from the previous owner. and tons from me! Enjoy!!

BTW: the dirty blonde is still for sale!!

You stated this has wide spacing-I didn't know string spacing was an option. The only reason i never bought one was Peavey's normally narrow spacing. Is it 19mm?

I just got this bass in a trade the other week. I dont know the exact string spacing but from owning a pedulla rapture 19mm spacing it feels the same. Its definately not narrow like my old warwick thumb 5.
You can tell from the last picture the string spacing is very similar to my warwick 4 stringer

from the looks of the abm bridge it looks adjustable

I said it in the last post and I'll say it again - If this were a 4 banger, then I would already own it ! No 5'ers for me.

I find it funny and sad that this bass has remained available for more than 5 minutes at $1,100. If it were a year or two ago, then you'd be able to hear the "swooosh" as it was nabbed by some TB'er.

C'mon guys !!!!!!!!!!! This is like the bass of basses ! It's a hot rodded Cirrus ! Owning this bass is like finding a '71 Hemi Cuda for $5k ! Deals like this are few and far between !

Again, if it were a 4 banger....

In all honesty, let's tell it like it is...this bass sounds pretty high end, and does not sound anything like a Cirrus "should" with stock electronics. Build wise it's a USA Cirrus, sound wise no...dark, rich..ken smith 5 sounding. BUMP!
