FT: DeArmond by Guild Starfire Bass for Lakie HB or Decade

Sign in to disble this ad
Looking to trade this + cash for a Lakland Hollowbody (preferred) or maybe a Decade.

I have this posted on ebay so absent this long shot trade working out, I think this beauty will be sold by saturday.

This bass is in excellent condition - the only thing I can see (under the right lighting) are some pick marks. Of course, it's black it so can be a fingerprint and smudge magnet. I would rate the condition easily at 9.5. The cream binding is aging nicely, slim comfortable neck. 1.5 in. at the nut. All original parts. Per the SN, a 1998 model Crafted in Korea.

32 inch scale which I personally prefer over the 30 inches that most (but not all) short scale, hollow body basses offer.
Strung with relatively new flats. This is a gorgeous bass and it delivers that vintage tone. Comes with OHSC also in excellent condition.

Hey - Thanks for looking. mt

I did some surfing and it appears the official spec is a 30.75 inch scale.
Not sure where I came up with 32 but ... I had a Gretsch with what I thought was a 30 (maybe it was 29?) and I found the Starfire to be far more comfortable / playable. Of course, I recognize playability is subjective.

Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome! I wasn't sure but I was positive that it was short and not medium scale.
