FS: Dingwall ABZ 5

Selling my Dingwall ABZ 5 string bass. Body is made of swamp ash in amber-burst finish with an all maple neck. The neck is nearly new. The truss rod on the original neck wasn't working so Dingwall replaced it with a new neck. Yes the truss rod works perfectly on this neck. No scratches or dents anywhere on the bass. Only flaw I can find is that the Dingwall writing on the neck pickup is fading.

Electronics and pickups are all passive. Controls are volume, 4-way pickup selector, and tone. String spacing at the bridge is 18mm. Weight is 8 lbs.

I don't have the Dingwall gig bag, but it will ship in a SKB Freedom hard case.

Located in southern California.

It's an ABZ with an AB1 neck according to his description. Sort of a rarity, Sheldon replaced the neck for him and gave him the AB1 neck. I bet there is a backlog on the ABZ's due to price point.

Thanks. The neck profile is up there as one of my favorites I've played on so far. Don't know what it is, but it's very slick and comfortable.

Ok I reread your post more closely. This neck is technically an ABZ neck because of the all maple. It just happens to say Afterburner 1 on it. I wonder if it was a misprint or something. Ill see if I can contact Dingwall about it out of curiosity.

Ok cool. Sheldon got back to me already and said it's likely a misprint. So this is in fact an ABZ 5 neck.

I love the amber burst color on these. Looks so sweet with the maple board.

BTW, if anyonw wants to know what these sound like, go to Youtube and search for Dingwall ABZ. Someone did a really nice job doing sound clips for this bass throughout all of the settings. Really sounds awesome!
