I got this cool bass in a recent trade and as much as I like it, I just can't afford to "keep" everything these days so I'm offering it back up.
Everything you have heard about fanned fret basses is true, they are very easy to play. I was immediately comfortable playing this bass and it took virtually no time to adjust to the fanned frets.
It's in perfect shape with the very minor exception of a surface scratch on the control cavity plate that you can see in a couple of the photos. No other dings, dents or scratches of any kind. It really looks new!
These sell new for $1,249.00 (without a gig bag or case) and I'm offering this one up for Temporary price reduction to only $899.00 including shipping in the CONUS along with an SKB molded HSC.
Here is a link to more info and specs: Combustion | Dingwall Guitars
I took a lot of photos with both a flash and natural light to try and get the actual color but it's hard. The body is a very pretty transparent creamy white color with kind of a beige tint to it. Almost like a flesh-tone color! With the subtle tortoise style guard it's really attractive. ALL the photos can be seen here: Dingwall Combustion pictures by swpyne - Photobucket

This is a total steal for someone but I need cash so my loss can be your gain. PM me and I can have it on it's way to you right away! |

Bump for my buddy, Spencer!

It only has a two band EQ so you can't refine the mids quite like you can with some more full featured onboard preamps. The overall sound is totally "Dingwall" though. You know it from the minute you play your first note. Big and rich yet totally defined with perfectly even response across all 5 strings. The low B on these is legendary. I owned a 1995 Dingwall Voodoo several years back and the Combustion has the same tonal characteristics.
It's an incredible bass for the price I'm asking. You never see these priced this low. If I hadn't just blown my wad on my new Pentabuzz I'd never sell it this cheap. |
