FS: Dual Darkstar '51 P style bass.

SOLD!!!

I hate to do this, but I did something bad.... Need to make up some funds. I'm trying something new---being more responsible with gear purchases by selling something when I buy something---so far, I don't recommend it. It's no fun.

This is a very cool instrument. The body is a Warmoth '51 style P body. I think it's alder (??). I sent it out to Michael Dolan to have it routed and finished in a nitro sunburst. The neck was made by Micheal. There is a little shim in the neck pocket that makes it a very nice fit.

The hardware is all stuff that I had for other projects. Most of it was brand new, just never used. The bridge and knobs were from other basses--so the knobs don't match exactly.

It is a nice weight and the tone is a dream. I know that I'm going to miss this one.....

I would like to get $950 shipped for it. I can't do trades at the moment.

Nice!!

Heck, this bass has $400 worth of pickups, and it's gorgeous to boot. I have a MIM P-bass I dropped a Darkstar into and I love it. I know I'd love this bass, and it sure gives me GAS, but I just can't part with the bucks right now. I'd love to fondle it for a little while.

Here's to wishing I had the funds. Any chance you're selling this bass to buy a kidney on the black market? I've got an extra...

Your bass

Hi,
this is Uli from Hamburg.
I would pay your price plus shipping with USPS, when you would sell to Germany!
Thanks Uli

Thanks! Ron

That is singularly one of the most amazing basses I've seen on Talkbass.

I will ship anywhere. Send me a PM with your shipping address and I will get a shipping quote.

If I do ship overseas, I will take the bass apart and ship in a smaller box due to size restrictions.

The width at the nut is between 1.625 and 1.65. The radius is very slight. It isn't flat, but not too rounded. I'm not sure how to measure it.

The bridge is Gotoh. The tuners are Hipshot ultralight and it will ship in a decent Rockbass gig bag.
