FS: EBMM Sterling Classic BRAND NEW! SOLD!!!
SOLD SOLD SOLD!
I had deleted this "for sale" ad because I had decided to keep the bass. Then, two hours after I deleted the thread, a TB'er PM'ed me saying he wanted to buy the bass, which he ending up doing! So I am just reposting this so that he and I have a thread to reference for leaving feedback for each other.
I do this. I buy brand new stuff, keep it for a while (without using it), and then turn around and sell it at a loss. It’s a disease, I guess. My wife just smiles and shakes her head, but I suppose there are worse habits for a 57 year old guy to have, eh? Well, here we have a brand spankin new USA Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling Classic in powder blue with an incredible birdseye maple neck. 1.5" nut width. I hunted down the very last brand new powder blue one in the country.
The bass weighs eight and a half pounds according to my bathroom scale. This bass has been kept in my non-smoking home the entire time since I bought it new about a year ago. I played the bass for no more than five minutes total. No joke. It has just sat here in the hard shell case the entire time. It still has the strings on it that came from the factory. All case candy is there and has never been touched. It really is brand new. It still has that “new smell” when you open the case.
The Classic Sterling has a 7.5" fretboard radius. That, combined with the 1.5" nut width, makes for one of the most comfortable, easy-playing necks I have ever felt.
These basses list for $2570 and street for $1800 new. I would like to get $1375 shipped CONUS.
No trades please.
