SOLD.
She's shiny, she's trans red and she plays like a dream. I really, REALLY hate to do this but I just bought a Bongo and need to recoup some much needed funds.
This was my first Stingray. I bought it from a fellow TB'er and must say it's delivered. Super versatile bass. It can play the fat, supportive role or slice through any and all heavy mixes with the flip of a switch. The 3 band EQ is powerful and versatile letting you pull off just about any tone you can think of.
Maple neck has some of that ole built in mojo (read grime) and plays like a dream. The bass (for me) is set up perfect with med-low action. I'm still amazed every time I pick it up and play it....the neck is amazing; fast, bright and thumpalicious.
The body has a few dings but nothing major. I tried to capture them with the one close up. I have, of course, touched it up with some of my wife's fingernail polish and it is hardly noticeable.
The Ray is 1 5/8" at the nut and a wonderful 9.1 pounds on my bathroom scale.
I'm a turrible (said like Charles Barkley) photographer but I tried to capture some of the beautiful wood grain that comes through was the transparent red color. Just a stunner of a bass in person.
Bass will come ready to go with brand new and installed DR HI Beams and of course the OHSC.
I'm asking what I paid for it, so looking to pass a good deal on. $900 shipped to the US. Paypal and no trades please.
