TRADED!!
I have no idea why i'm doing this, but let's see if there's some interest.
This Stingray is like no other. It is trans teal, maple neck with all black hardware, which took some doing to get and was originally on my Sterling HH. The fingerboard has some coloring that doesn't quite show up in the pics. Upon further inspection, there aren't any noticeable scratches or swirls in the finish as was mentioned previously.
Because it was originally an HS model, it came equipped with a 5 position switch. It now has a 3 way switch wired for Series/Single/Parallel. I wasn't fond of the tone from the single coil at the neck, so i pulled it out along with the dummy coil that's hidden under the pickguard. It is equipped with a Delano quad coil so there's no hum when in single coil mode. It sounds great and with the black hardware, makes quite the impression. Get it now before i change my mind.
Comes with EB hard case. It has straplocks installed. I will include the strap ends and an extra black pickguard. Currently strung with Rotosound Swing Bass nickels.
$1000 shipped via Fedex - i will accept paypal, price is firm unless you are offering a trade.
Trade interest (in order of preference):
Mesa 400+ or a comparable tube amp (high power output)
Warwick limited edition - any year, let me know what you have!
other Warwicks - 4 or 5 string
Lakland jazz or P clone
possibly other things, especially if cash is coming my way, but i'm also willing to trade this and an L2000 (see sig) for the right higher end bass.

This bass is great though and even made me think of trading something that I just bought last week and haven't received yet.

Single coil has a full sounding jazz pup tone. it still reminds me of an sr, though...hard to describe it w/o a jazz bass to compare with.
series mode is just super beefy and out there. a noticeable volume increase from sc mode and slight from parallel.
these are my opinions at least. overall it isn't as harsh as the stock pickups were to my ear. the preamp is the original one and with this pickup I don't have to roll the high knob all the way off. it stays at the center detent.
