GAS is getting the better of my good judgment and I am offering up for sale my beloved EBMM Stingray 5.
This bass was purchased in the Spring of 2003 from The Bass Place in Tempe, AZ. I am the second owner of this bass. From what I was told, the first owner had it for 2 weeks, didn't dig the 5 strings, and got rid of it. Lucky me. I gigged it 3 times in '03, and it literally hasn't left my house since.
Here's the goods:
From what I remember when I checked years ago, this was born around Nov. 2002. It is natural ash, with a white pickup/pickguard, and a maple neck/fretboard (the neck has a bit of a flame to it if you look close in the pictures). There are no dings, dents, scratches, buckle rash, etc. anywhere on the body or headstock. The only flaw with this instrument is a couple of dings on the poles of the pickup, probably the consequence of a couple of overzealous digs. They are noticeable only upon close inspection, and do not affect the playability or tone. I've tried my best to capture these in the photos. Other than that, this is clean in every way. I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10. The only modification done is I've installed Schaller straplocks. I will include the original strap pins with the bass, along with a strap.
The MusicMan Stingray case was purchased new at the beginning of this year. Latches are perfect. There a couple of minor scrapes, again only noticeable upon close inspection. Still has the new case smell. Keys and cloth have yet to be opened.
I am looking for $1100 shipped to the lower 48. No international sales - all requests from international shipping will be ignored. I am in So. New Hampshire (Nashua), and I'm willing to meet up a reasonable distance (will negotiate discount for local sale).
Will consider trades, preferably Laklands (55-02, maybe a nice DJ5), +/- cash for right bass in right condition. 5 strings, fretted only please. Let me know what you've got - worst I can do is say no.
I have no feedback here, but I have 100% positive feedback on the 'bay, so feel confident in having a smooth transaction. Feel free to PM me with any other questions. Thanks for looking!
