Since I've been asked the same questions more than once, I thought I'd add some additional information and requests here. - Condition: The condition of this bass is excellent. I have added about 20 pictures to the original post. These pictures were taken today and cover about every part of the bass. I'm happy to continue to answer questions about the condition, but 20 pictures is worth a thousand words
- Price: I've done my research, and I believe that this is a more than fair price for a bass in this condition. I know everyone is looking for a deal right now, but please don't contact me and ask me "what is your best price." $1450 shipped and insured is my best price......and it's one heck of a deal to boot. If you would like to make an offer, please do so, but keep in mind that I am not desperate to sell.
- Weight: Unfortunately, I have no accurate way to weigh this bass. The bathroom scale shows it to be about 10.5 lbs, but it is not the most accurate method to weigh a bass. I do not guarantee that weight. I would suggest that those who are super-sensitive to weight should not be looking at a 5-string, slab style bass. The bass DOES balance very well and is very comfortable, even on a 4 hour gig.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions. This is a very special bass and I hope it will soon find a new home.

If a serious buyer desperately needs to know the exact weight, I'll be happy to try to track it down. I have weighed the bass multiple times on my bathroom scale, and it comes in between 10 and 10.5 lbs.
Again, the balance of this bass is perfect, and I find that this fact mitigates any weight issues. All of my gigs are 3+ hours, and I've never had any issues with this bass causing pain. I've even had other players comment on how great it felt in the strap.
I've had three people ask about weight, but none seemed to be serious buyers (none asked anything more than 'how much does it weigh?' and none even bothered with the courtesy of a reply after I answered them). And, really, a slab-bodied 5 string really isn't the bass for those with weight issues.
Maybe I'm just being too honest here, but I've had bad experiences with weight-sensitive bass players and the "bathroom scale" method. Believe it or not, there are members here that will threaten negative feedback based solely on the fact that the bass weighed a 1/4 pound more than advertised. Some will even threaten lawsuits. |

I play in a rock cover band. At first, I was concerned that a single pickup, two band eq bass wouldn't cover my needs. I discovered quickly that the bass was quite versatile and could cop many different tones. |
