Epiphone EA-260 for sale $300.00 plus shipping
(probably no trades) (Note: one just sold on this forum for $350.00)
Willing to drive a couple of hours from Charlottesville, Va to sell - made Matsumotu factory, Japan circa 1971 – 1974
- 2 passive humbucking pick-ups with separate tone and volume control and 3 position toggle switch
- Semi-hollow body, 2 F holes with white binding
- Bolt on 3 piece neck
- 20 fret 30” short scale
- Enclosed tuners with black knobs, floating wood/metal bridge
- Floating metal/wood tailpiece
- Really bad cardboard case. May be original.
Good condition for it age but has some wear. Action is pretty good as is. Sounds really good. Selling it as I need the money as I just bought a Starfire.
Couple of small issues. - Top strap button is not installed. I have the strap button but don’t have the screw for it. Easy fix.
- Also the low E-string intonation screw may need to be replaced. The head of the screw looks to be worn. I have not tried to adjust it so it may work fine but by looking at it may need to be replaced. The intonation does needs to be adjusted.
- Neck has a few shims to lower the action but I hear this is normal for these basses.
- Tone Pot for neck PU is scratchy
- Input jack seems to work fine but a few times I had to re-plug my cable in.
- Missing the string mute

I had one just like it for a while - ended up selling it (then regretting it) about a year ago. If I can scheme a way to come up with the dough, I'm seriously interested. Hmm.....
