FS: Epiphone Fenderbird - Lake placid blue - Price Drop!

Ok, so this was my first (and so far only) major reconstruction project and it went alright. The body was a goth T-bird. I filled the soapbar cavities and cut out room for the EMG HBs, refinished in Reranch LPB with Reranc nitro clearcoat... The whole process is here:
Fenderbird Project Completed!

So here is the bad part. I bought an Eden neck off ebay. It's decent, but obviously cut for a fender style body. I had to cut down the sides and bottom and don't have a router. My dremel work is shoddy at best and the neck does not fit snugly at all in the pocket. It is definitely playable, but not ideal at all (for me). Because of this I'm going to offer the body by itself for its own price. In the interest of full disclosure, I also used a piece of pinstriping to cover the edges of the LPB where it meets the goth-black. It blends perfectly and gives sort of a binding look.

So here is what's in it:
  • Epi Goth T-bird body
  • 2 EMG HB pickups wired 18v - These things sound monstrous. If you do research on them you'll see the poles are set up it is meant to be like P pickups in a HB cavity.
  • Badass II bridge (black)
  • Eden Neck with star inlays

I am going to keep the tuners, prices lowered

Whole thing (deconstructed for shipping): $190 shipped
Body only (no neck): $180 shipped (worth more than that in parts anyway).

Man I am really drawn to this bass. To clarify all work was done on the neck and the neck pocket is still the original Epi T-Bird size? And do you find the positioning of the G string causes any playability issues? How is the feel overall? Can you still get a solid setup with the "issues"? (curve radius, nice low action, no fret buzz, etc)

And I don't know much about EMG, TBirds, etc. If these pups are similar to Ps does this thing sound similar to a double P?

The neck pocket is still completely fine, I didn't touch it. All of my cutting was done on the neck. You could slap a tbird neck in here no problem. The bass plays fine, meaning, it plays, The action is kind of high for me (I like it real low). You definitely could play it out. I would heavily recommend getting a new neck because of the fitting issues in the neck pocket.

In regards to the EMGs, yes it sounds like a double active EMG P pickups. I am not exagerrating when I say it sounds like a monster lives inside of this bass, it sounds really chunky. My advice, get a Tbird neck, or if you're good with a router, a new Fender style neck. Only reason I'm including the neck in the sale is if you want the tuners or want to experiment with it yourself.

other than the issues mentioned with the neck that you had, how was the Eden neck? I've seen these before but wondered about them

The Eden is alright, for the 70 bucks it cost me it was worth it. If I were to buy again I'd probably go SX though. For the money I think SX is better.

I take it you dont have the original goth neck? I dont really have any time to work on the neck or money currently, but im working to fix both of those issues by the end of this week.

I don't have the original neck. I do have a Tbird floating around at my parents' house, but I don't know how the neck is acting. I can check over Christmas.

Sounds promising. Seems like the quickest and easiest way to get a neck on there would be to get one from another Tbird. I always used to see Tbirds on craigslist, my music store, etc. but now I can barely find any.

I've got a loaded SX black-blocked jazz neck that I will be posting soon. Would be a pretty nice accompaniment to this bad body if anyone's interested.
