My leaving the country sale continues with this Fretless Epiphone Zenith bass. I tried to ge back to fretless after a decade and a half of fretted only playing and I just got frustrated trying.
This bass is a neat instrument with both piezo pickup and a magnetic "NanoMag" pickup at the end of the fretboard. There are separate jacks for "stereo" connection to separate amps.
It is strung with LaBella black tape wound strings.
The neck is fairly slim with excellent action. The finish is scratch and ding free except for the following:
There is one issue with this bass: there is a ding on the front edge near the bridge which was there when I bought it. The ding was through the finish and chipped the wood slightly. It has been repaired with about a dozen coats of cyanoacrylate glue which has been buffed out to a gloss.
The finish there is now smooth and stable but it is noticeable.
