FS ESP Edwards MIJ Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is a really nice Made in Japan Edwards Jazz Bass. ESP makes these for the Japan market. It's a very nice quality bass, very much along the lines of the MIJ basses coming from Fender. Seymour Duncan makes the pickups for these; I have been unsuccessful in finding the model number for them.

The bass has some wear here and there, and a shallow ding here and there, but nothing major. Nothing I could get on camera much. It's not mint, but it's not a mojo-magnet, either.

The neck is great, and the blocks w/ binding are beautiful. The color really is an eye catcher.

$475 shipped lower 48. Paypal (echeck preferred), or USPS Money Order greatly encouraged. Canada or International, please PM me so we can work something out.

I think they are abalone. Not sure if they are real abalone (plastic abalone?) , but they are nice.

Here's a shot of the headstock, which has the best picture of one of the blocks I have.

Hmm. If they are real abalone I may be interested. Any way to find out? I may end up divorced. Haha. Are you interested in trading for any other basses or gear, or just straight cash?

Do you know what year it was made?

My guess is alder. About 9 pounds.

Here's a link to the current Jazz Bass on Edwards' website:
http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/jb/E-JB-93R.html

I realize that things may have changed, but it looks like pretty much the same bass.

This bass is still here? I emailed ESP with a question about whether or not the abalone was real and they were completely not helpful. They said they don't deal at all with Edwards. Weird.
