Up for grab is a made in Japan, ESP J-Five bass from 1998. Ash body with straight grain maple neck, rosewood board, Gotoh tuners, heavy duty ESP bridge and it currently sports a set of active EMG jazz pickups with passive tone control (I am not sure if these are stock). The spacing between the strings at bridge saddles are approx. 17mm and the bass weights around 10lbs from my bathroom scale. I purchased it used from Bass NorthWest a few years back, and it has treated me well for the past few year. However, I am now trying to gather some funds to get a Dingwall Afterburner.
Overall, the bass is in excellent condition, some very minor dings and nicks but nothing noticeable until close examination. One of the volume pots are slightly noisy and can use a bit cleaning. Otherwise, this is a killer bass with powerful tone. The neck is straight with low action and I would say thinner than a Fender V. Perfect balance with no neck dive issue. Comes with a soft gig bag. $600SOLD shipped within Canada & USA by CanadaPost ground insured.

Reason: Price dropped fro the one last time
Folks, these ESPs are definitely worth your bucks. The construction and playability of these basses are just good as my Valenti J5 and Fender Roscoe Beck V. Maybe not as versatile in terms of the tone options, but for the price, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Since I have been bitten by a Dingwall bug and will not let go until I get one, here's another price dropped for the one last time.......
