So I just got a new bass which needs a little work so for sale is my trusty frankenstein p bass I've put together from an ESP MIJ Forum series P bass and a MIJ Squier SQ series P Body.
I want to first point out that the price is low because the necks truss rod can not be loosened, if I try to give it relief the truss nut simply loosens out which tells me the truss is most likely stripped,however the last adjustment left the neck DEAD straight, maybe millimeter or more of relief, This isn't ideal for light roundwounds,however the medium flats that are on this give the neck enough pull to allow a very good setup,I've tooken pictures of the action at the 12th fret which measures up to a quarter inch and the amount of relief which, this is with no fret buzz or dead notes at all all along the neck. So for full disclosure, I want to say that the neck is very playable with low action,however a medium string guage and tension is needed to give it enough pull.
The neck is actually a joy to play and the flatter profile is great for riffs. The frets are in great condition ,probably with medium jumbo fretwire. The tuners are gold schaellers typically found on american peavey basses and hold tuning great.
I have the body for sale in the accesories for 200 shipped, basically I'm just trying to add further interest by making it a full bass for a cheap price. This would be good to have as a backup or start a new project Again looking to get 260 shipped or as close as I can. Thanks for looking.
