FS: Essex (SX) Sjb-75 (OLD HEADSTOCK) $135.00 shipped!

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this bass a while back to either put the neck (old headstock) on my newer SX or just mod out with some new pickups and such. Well, that did not pan out and I really don't have time for this project any longer, so I'm going to offer this bass up to someone who will complete it.

The bass has no electronics currently. You get the following: Maple neck/maple fretboard (bound and blocked) with old headstock, nut, and tuners. The bass body is ash and is finished in a sweet vintage green (love that color). The body has a black pickguard as well as a new control plate.

All you need to get this baby going again are some pickups, a bridge, and some strings!

Many people buy the SX basses from Kurt for a modding platform, so I've basically ripped the guts out for you and now you are free to add whatever you like to it.

If you bought this bass new, it would cost $160 dollars and if you bought a new neck with the old headstock from Kurt that would run 40, so you're looking at 200 bucks and the neck is not bound and blocked either.

The bass is in good shape. It has normal player's wear. No major dings, gouges, or scrapes at all. Frets are in great shape and there is no buzz when strung up.

Price: $135.00 shipped.

Serious offers will be considered as well.

I also have a Fender Bridge and Fender Pickups that I can make a package deal on, as well as a Kaces Case I'd love to make a package deal on!

Not to be a jerk, but can you post anything clearer?
Are there any cracks in the body? Is the trus rod not tweaked out?

i took these shots with a friend's cheap camera. took them quick as well, as they wouldn't let me borrow it.

there are no cracks in the body and the truss rod is not tweeked out. it turns both ways. the neck has no problems whatsoever. this was the best that i could do today. i'm trying to find my camera or locate a better one.

i have 120 positive feedbacks on here. i'm not going to sell a busted sx. better pics tomorrow hopefully.

I'm very interested, but I want to see it clearly, first. I saw your rating and totally trust you. I just have to ask questions instead of going off assumptions.
Thanks for your patience.
