It's a real nice sounding bass for sure!

Although if Rainer sells something it's always questionable how much profit he's making.. tho the price aint bad...
Yes this has been Dirk's before we made a trade recently. Basses are coming and going and this one is definitely worth a look and a try.

Not sure how I feel about your post Bram ! It's always a gambling to buy and sell or trade-in basses. Sometimes there is some profit, sometimes (and much more often) there is some loss. I think you refer to your personal experience with our Fodera deal. Especially in the Fodera area you never know whether you will get back your invest. In the end I made NO profit with the Fodera. Believe it or not.

But you are forcing me to point out here that I never intend to buy or trade-in basses to make profit. I am a bass player and not a dealer. And I feel absolutely NO FUN about re-selling basses ! So please decide whether it is a good price for you or for someone else but never judge about how much uplift there might be hidden in it.

I made another trade with Dirk long ago and I finally made hundreds of loss. For me that is OK as I had the chance to play and feel another worldclass bass (it was an Alembic Series 2).

Of course it's always interesting whether a certain seller may have some space for negotiations (which is obviously different from calculated profit). It's up to the buyer to make a best offer and then we will see.

That's tragic.

Hope you really understand yourself what you are posting here. I don't. And I don't know why you have to post here something in the public which should be clarified first between us. As I told you before - I made NO profit with the worn Fodera you sold to me. I didn't force you to sell it for a certain price to me. You don't know anything about the resale value, you don't have an imagination how much I had to spend to get it into a better condition, and now you try to shoot me here in the forum, because I re-sold it. Unbelievable.

So the forum readers might decide for themselves whether this is fair play from your side.

Fwiw, airing your dirty laundry in someones fs thread is kinda lame. If you habe a grievance, usually the best thing is to communicate directly with that person. To divebomb their credibility in a fs thread typically just hurts the image of everyone involved. If the issue were that you were ripped off (item not as described etc) that would be one thing. But if the issue is that you feel you overpayed for an item, the operative word here is YOU. Also, when you sell something, you kinda lose control at that point over what the new owner chooses to do with it (ie reselling and raising the price or even painting it camo). I mean, you sold it.

Sorry, not to hijack or pick on anyone, I just don't think this is very fair to the seller, given the particular grievance.

That allll being said, you have a killer collection rainer, and this bass is no exception!
