FS: F Bass AC5

An F Bass AC5 fretless for sale. I don't want to sell this bass but the I just don't play fretless very often. A fantastic bass like this should be played.

Really don't have much to say about the bass, every F Bass fan knows what it is.

I'll say the bass is 9 out 10, the only problem is a few finish cracks near the knobs.

I'll let the bass go for $3500 plus shipping to lower 48 states.

I posted about wanting one of these in the fbass thread last week...

You wouldn't be considering any trades by chance?

I prefer an outright cash sale for this bass. But you can make me some offers. Looking for Sadowsky NYC, Alleva-Coppolo and something like that.

You are tempting me mightily. Do you know how much she weighs?

Sweet bass! I don't mean to hijack the thread, but what kind of strings are those?

Ahh, cool. The Super Steps I've tried were tapered, but were wrapped at the thin part, not with exposed cores like that. I think I'll have to try some! Again, lovely bass. If you want a Modulus Q5 in trade toward it, we should talk

Ya beat me to it Jake!

I played Jake's a couple days ago at the Asheville GTG and it was by far the nicest fretless I've ever seen, heard, been remotely close to! I was really surprised too by how easy it was to play in tune all the way up the neck. So here's another bump for the baddest fretless around!

Have you tried a 34.5" scale? It didn't feel much different to me compared to a 34".
