FS: F-Bass AC6 Alain Caron Signature Custom Top & Body [WOW!!!]

Sign in to disble this ad
Here is something that doesn't come up for sale often.
This is a gorgeous looking and playing bass that unfortunately is not getting enough play-time and therefore I am selling it.

Bass has been played and has some minor wear, very small nicks that you can see on the pics below. Absolutely no damage to the wood core and it is in perfect playability condition.

The bass has an upgraded Spalted Curly Maple body [+$400 value] and a gorgeous Quilted Redwood top [+$1,650 value]. Pictures just don't make any justice with this bass!

SN: #311206

List price of a new AC6, including this upgrades, is $8,949.
Asking price: $5,800 including original gig bag, SHIPPED WORLDWIDE!

Bass will ship packed extremely well, using one of the major international carriers (UPS/FedEx), fully insured and delivered to your door 3-4 business days.

Please PM me any questions you may have.
Thanks for looking.

I generally can't stand the way AC6es look, but with the redwood top that thing is absolutely stunning.

Ooooh, that's unbelievably pretty. I think the purfling is an extra option as well on a top like this. Looks REALLY nice on this one...

Uh, no, but it's up there!

I'm teasing of course, but I have 3 AC6s with redwood tops, and they are ALL stunning like this -- and they sound amazing.

Even if you know you won't be buying mVC's AC6, you owe it to yourself to check out this Youtube of Edmond playing his redwood topped AC5. Oh, that TONE!

Ooh nice, that's probably the only bass model that I'd play instead of my Gary Willis signature model.

I can vouch for this bass being worth the asking price.

I have this same bass in the same woods, and I paid much more than what mVC is asking... and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

These are WONDERFUL basses -- the best fretless 6 strings ever (which is why I already own two).

Hi mVC

Beautiful bass. What weight is it? Also do you know if the wood upgrades change the sound from the standard model?

Cheers

Ben

There is some difference in sound but it is not that big. I played both models at the same time. I assume that the one I am selling has some extra natural compression, but the voicing is the same.

I'll check weight later this evening and let you know.

Thanks mVC. A little extra compression is not necessarily a bad thing but I'm really curious to see what it weighs.

Cheers

Ben

I'm happy for the bass too... a beauty like that deserves a good home. :-)
