FS: Fbass BN5 Piano Black Flame Maple board

Here is my beautiful, mint, year-old BN5 for sale. It has a gorgeous GORGEOUS flame maple fingerboard upgrade from the standard maple usually seen on these. I never owned an F before this one, so it was kind of a trial. Well, it passed the test. These basses are the epitome of smart design and innovation. George Furlanetto clearly thought about every detail on these BNs and didn't take anything for granted, and the F preamp is a beautiful thing.

It weighs about 9 pounds, balances great, and comes in a high-quality gig bag.

I'm going to miss this bass. Donovan described it to me as warmer than most maple/ash F basses. It is very round, warm, and punchy. In my opinion, it really couldn't sound better, and the B string is outstanding and balanced with the other strings. I wish I could keep it, but I need the cash--I just pulled the trigger on an F built to my own tastes.

This instrument is amazing in every way, but I'm not a fan of black basses, hence the sale.

I would like to get $2700 with shipping and fees to the CONUS only.

Here are a couple pics I took recently, along with a link to the thread I got it from that include Donovan's pics. There are no pics that do this bass justice. The black is so black, and the flame in the fingerboard is very wide and deep!

Dude! Are you sure you wouldn't like Black better in a BN4?

Ha- no. Actually, though, I'm having second thoughts about letting this go. Just played it. Man oh man.

I believe it is an early 2012 build, but possibly late 2011. I'm the second owner, and I'm pretty sure it was purchased from Donovan at Fretspot in spring of 2012.
