I'm the second owner. This bass has never left my house (except for a photo shoot in the front yard on Sunday). The PO rarely used it and it shows. It's in
NEAR MINT condition. The only flaws I can find are one small finish scratch on the body under the base of the neck and one light ding to the headstock (both shown in photos).
This is a 2004 model (Crafted in Korea) , reportedly one of the first Skyline HBs off the line. Lakland indicated that
very few of these came from the factory with the Darkstar pickup upgrade. Everything you have read about these pups is true. This bass sounds fantastic and is surprisingly versatile and very dynamic.
This is my first Lakland and I was blown away by the fit and finish of an "import bass." Absolutely the nicest neck I've ever played. I'm actually GASing for a Skyline GLAUB right now as I think it might be a bit "more my style." But I'm hoping I can figure out a way to keep this one too! (make me a offer before I sell something else
)
