Not committed to selling it just yet... but putting out a feeler for my 1978 Ibanez Silver Series P-bass. This is one of the infamous "Lawsuit" era basses.
The previous owner cut the pickguard into two pieces, essentially creating a control-plate. I kind of like the way it looks with it off, but I have both pieces. I'm fairly certain all electronics and parts are original. Bridge cover IS NOT original, I purchased it after I bought the bass.
Beautifully worn 31 year old bass. Has some gashes in the fretboard where the 21st fret would be, but doesn't affect playability since you can't really fret it there to begin with.
Asking price would be $300 + shipping to Con. US. Trades considered.

However this is very common on older basses with the skunk-stripes. I'll get a picture of it up this evening.

If I needed a P, I'd not hesitate to snag this and put her in gigging rotation w/ my Laklands!
Dang! I want it! Looks GOOD! Won't be here long.

I should note that the truss rod works perfectly and turns without unnecessary effort.

"A" represents January (first letter, first month), and the 78 is the year. So it's one month from being a '77

Sold it on another site. Offered him a return if it wasn't his bag, so who knows, it may be back.
Thanks gang!
