FS FEELER: 2012 FODERA CHESTNUT IMPERIAL 5 PRICE DROP

Very reluctant to offer this one for sale but I wanted to explore if there is any serious interest out there. If you are truly serious about having this exquisite Fodera...here is your chance (at least until I come to my senses!)

This piece of Chestnut was the last really nice figured full top piece, so not only is it rare , you cant get one like this from Fodera anymore according to Jason. Also, it seems Fodera may not be buying anymore Brazilian after the current batch runs out.
I've owned many basses but this one is up at the top in every department and has several options. Here are the specs:

-Imperial 5 with Matt Garrison lower horn
-34"
-24 fret
-Premium chestnut top ( full)
-Ash wings
-Alder tone block
-Braz. board
-3 piece maple neck
-Slightly slimmed down neck width towards top of the board and string spacing tightened up to 18.5mm ( feels great playing up there). Neck width can easily accomodate 19mm if you prefer.
-Large frets
-Duncan dual coil pups ( 70s) in chestnut covers
-Latest Pope pre with Matt Garrison layout ( great for palm muting)
-Your choice of gold or black hardware
-10 lbs.
-Mint Fodera hardshell case, tools and papers.

The tone has amazing fundamental with a great balance of warmth and a percussive punch from the wood combo. There is always a fat and supportive tone but with an underlying attack that cuts through. The Braz sings nicely, and even though it was an upgrade it gives the tone some definition without sacrificing warmth and high end....definitely was worth it.
The bass is mint, only used for recording.
The list price on this is $14,450 US. (with options and top) in its same birth year (2012), the price is $$11,100 CAN. ( Canadian dollars)which represents a significant savings from what it would cost, and you can skip the wait .
Includes shipping anywhere in the world Canada Post.

See description at top, and also in the link to Fodera's newborn section in the first post also.

Wow - That is a beauty. If I were even remotely thinking about getting a Fodera, this is the one I'd get. Chestnut like that is gone... Mitch is also an absolute first class guy to deal with.

Amazing bass..... And local.

If I didn't just buy a MTD 535 and order a Emperor a couple of months back, I would be interested.

Great bass without the wait!

Man, that is the most beautiful chestnut topped fodera I've ever seen. Like a nice mocha coffe just stirred up with whipped cream...yum.

Is the board Brazilian Rosewood? It just says Rosewood on the Fodera website.

Nice bass for sure!

Bump- still getting some trade offers, and although I appreciate them I am still partial to cash offers as stated.

Cash offers will get better value anyways so if you are interested have a go! We can talk

Bump for a price drop of $500 to $11,400CAN.

This is a full -top Chestnut Imperial (which cant be had anymore with this level of figuring), this plus the Braz. board makes it a true rare and premium Fodera.

Willing to entertain any reasonable CASH offers!
