I'm really not sure I want to sell this, but I need to lighten up the bass stock a little.

The Good: Massive Tone. This is really one of the best sounding basses I've ever played. Sits great in the mix, both live and recorded. All electronics work great.

The Bad: The truss rod appears to be maxed out. The action is a little high - still very playable, but it is higher than I would prefer. My tech told me that with some work (and $) the neck issues can be fixed (primarily with a refret). Speaking of the frets, the frets are quite worn. Surprisingly, it still plays great and the intonation is fine. Also, a previous owner must have stored this in the basement for a long time, as the pickguard screws have all oxidized and are near to impossible to remove. The bridge has some oxidation as well - mostly under the chrome. The original case, while fine structurally is very musty-smelling.

I can provide more pics upon request.

Due to its issues, I think I've priced it accordingly. $550 shipped to CONUS. Not interested in trades at this time.

Awesome! I'm assuming this sounds similar to my B-402A when in passive mode. If so, the tone is KILLER!

Upon further review, I think I'm overpriced a bit. These seem to go for ~$800 these days. So say $550 shipped. I should mention, too, that consistent with a well-loved 31 year old bass, there is buckle wear on the back of the bass through the finish. I will get a pic up when I get the chance.

Suggestion: edit your price in the original post, in case someone doesn't read down to see you've reduced it....

Thanks but I'm covered on the big wattage amps.

However, I've updated the listing with possible trade options: Markbass F1 or LMII + $100.
