The bass has six controls, the knobs closest to the strings are: volume for both pickups, blend for the pickups, and passive tone control.
The three knobs further away from the strings are the active 3-band eq circuit.
They are: bass boost, mid boost, and treble boost.
Pull up on the passive tone control to disable the active eq and the active circuit will be completely bypassed.
Pull up on the volume control to engage a coil tap for both pickups.
Purchased from Adrian ( RIP Brother...) at Access Bass in 2003...I think the bass is a 2002 model.
"plek'd" by Gary Brawer in San Fran - Brawer's Stringed Instrument Repair (Great work on everything guitars...)
Personal once over and setup by George himself ( George is awesome...)
Everyone that has played this bass says there is something about it that's special (including George...maybe it was Adrian's touch as well, he played it on several demos...)
This bass is a great example of what makes an F bass special. With the economy, and the fact that it's not getting any real playing time right now as my current gigs are 4 string P Bass, it needs a new home...
The bass was played extensively by me on tour in 2004-2007 and is a real players bass. I hate treating basses like furniture and expect them to be able to take it...
The Nitro finish had checking on it when George checked it out in 2004 and said this is an extremely common, somewhat expected condition and has a couple of love bites here and there but does not affect playability. The
checking/crazing looks like very fine finish cracks running in all directions. I'm listing at $1850 and am not in a big hurry to sell...
Only trade might be a Sadowsky that suits me...
Nothing else...
