I can compare it to an Emperor since I have owned 2 of those. I did have an Emperor Elite that had an ash body and single coils. It sounds, feels and plays almost exactly how that bass did. The newest NYC bodies and necks, like this one. Are almost identical in feel and shape to the Emperor basses. I also had an Emperor Deluxe with a mahogany body and Duncan dual coils. The overall tone of that bass compared to this one is very similar. But, still somewhat different(warmer and more compressed) but most of that can be attributed to the differences in body woods, pickups etc. As noted before though, the feel and shape of the body and neck are almost totally identical. I hope that helps

Sweet bass, very tempting! |

Sweet bass, very tempting! | Could definitely be..they have added a lot more options in the last year or so...Thus the reason this has a spalted maple top.

Most Versatile Bass I have played. Whoever buys this one, I'm sure will love it too. Good Luck. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
