Feeler- this is one badass 'Bird, light, resonant, really clean, and has growl that can only come from the netherworld...2005 Gibson Thunderbird, vintage burst, loaded with Thunderbucker Ranch 66's with matched rings, Hipshot Supertone, chrome tuners, gold witch hats, copper foil shielded cavity...every classic incarnation of Thunderbird is represented here! No issues, breaks, stories, jsut one clean 'Bird that plays so well, the strings are almost on the other side of the frets- STOOPID low action. Truss rod nut perfect, strap buttons on both the front and behind the neck, light- like 9 lbs. on the trusty bathroom scale method.

Plugged in, the TBR 66's have a top end open-ness that you don't get with the stock pickups, and huge growl. The bridge pickup will out-Jaco most Jazz basses, too. Neck pickup is fat and defined, giving up that famous wooly tone when pushed, but never muddy.

Real killer Thunderbird here, I'm not in a hurry to sell, but it hasn't been getting the love it richly deserves. Ships in the brown OHSC Gibson case with the fuschia-pink interior. $1200 shipped Canada or US 48. Not interested in trades, but run it by me, the worst i can do is piolitely decline (hey, I am Canadian...). Home-town discount for the local Vancouver cats.

For the love of God....why can't I EVER just be patient and wait for the "one" to come for sale as opposed to immediately buying buying buying!! Beautiful!
