Some of you who know me already know I'm a huge Hofner fan. I love this bass and it's ony been like 3 months. My unexpected plunge into vintage Hofner territory with my 1964. Beatle bass has me a little tighter with the cash than I'd like. It was un expected, expensive,but worth every penny! I have 2 reissues a contemporary 500/1 and a 1964. I may need to let one slide. I just purchased them too close together. This one really is brand new except the damaged case that was damaged in shipping. The case works fine. IT's basically a split seam on the bottom. It's glued, sturdy.
The bass is like fresh out of the box except has updated reissue cream switch caps and tea cups. The caps and cups are $80 extra. I will sell this with the upgrades for $650. thats a TB deal, $100 less than I'd take from the public. Has new Rotosound nylon flats. ( not pictured)
This is a feeler for now,but I'd feel better about my new purchase if I free up some cash.
