Well, as much as I'd love to keep both of these basses, I kind of stuck my neck out a little far. I got a great deal on some stuff and hoped to sell the amps I didn't need so I could keep the basses... but it's not looking great, so I have to post these up.
I don't want to part with either, but one has to go.
First up, the Squier Deluxe Active Jazz V
Dubbed the "Squierdowsky" by me, it's been transformed from the blah, basic SADJV to a beast!
Sadowsky humcancelling pickups, an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp (18v) with passive tone control added, a bypass switch (active/passive) and a Series/Parallel switch. It is destined to get a sweepable mid as well, however the parts are taking forever to arrive.
It sounds like a Sadowsky with more versatility. The neck is great, frets are great, the bass is amazing. I guarantee it sounds worth more than it can sell for.
Considering $450 shipped with a Warwick Rockcase, US48 only. (better pics to come)
I have reshaped the pickguard since... and it looks like crap. It was never screwed in, so don't worry about markings. I will include it, but it doesn't look great.
SECONDLY, the bass I just got,
2002 American Deluxe Jazz V
Ash body (I believe), pao ferro fingerboard on maple neck. All stock, fixed all minor issues (so it has a new jack and plate). Strung it with Ken Smith strings from my other bass and they have a lot of life left. Some chips in the paint, but nothing serious or ugly.
Includes molded case which is in ok condition, not great. No case candy.
Asking $950 shipped in the US48.
Don't want to sell either and I won't be pulling the trigger JUST YET, but if interested and patient, PM me.
