GUYS I'M GOING TO WAIT A FEW MORE WEEKS TO MAKE SURE THIS IS THE BASS I WANT TO SELL. I'LL KNOW BETTER ONCE MY FODERA ARRIVES. I'M GOING TO HIT PAUSE FOR A FEW WEEKS. SORRY FOR THE FALSE ALARM.
Ok, I have a beautiful Lakland USA 4-94 Deluxe bass. I also have a custom Fodera about 2 weeks away from being delivered and I need to make some very hard choices.
Serial number is #742. I don't know exactly how old it is but I suspect someone can find out by checking the serial number. I myself have had the bass for about 2 years.
It has an ebony fingerboard, a drop d turner, a gorgeous flamed maple top and is in great shape. There are "polish rub marks" near the pickups from playing, but nothing that cuts through the finish. I can't even capture these "finger rub marks" on camera. The bass wouldn't meet the technical definition for mint, but it is in excellent shape. The "top finish swirls" that show up in certain light are really the only thing that shows up. The bass has Fender flatwounds on it right now. Everything works perfectly. The bass weighs 9.2 pounds
The OHCS is in great shape. I bought it after I bought the bass and it really hasn't seen much action..
I'm looking for $2000 shipped to the lower 48.
Here are photos. There are more photos a few posts down.
(the smudge above the bridge is just that - a smudge. Not something permanent on the bass).
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
