Up for sale is my beloved
MIM Fender Jazz V. This bass has been with me for a long time. I was very close to purchasing a new neck for it when I realized that what I really desired was to part ways with Fender and look into either a Lakland or a Stingray. It's going to be hard to part with this bass though.
I know that this gets said a lot about people's MIM Jazz's, but I would gladly put this bass to the test with any MIA Jazz and be confident that it would stand its own ground. I have put some serious time and money into making this a very unique and wonderfully sounding bass.
Here are the upgrades:- Pearloid Pickguard
- Gotah Tuners
- Hipshot 5-String "A" Aluminum Bass Bridge, satin
- Stan Hinesly Hot-J Pick-ups
- Audere Audio JZ3 Preamp
Essentially, the only thing left on this bass that is original is the body and neck, and even those have been completely redone. I stripped the body/neck and stained it. It is a sealed finish, but no gloss. Here are the pictures:
Like aforementioned, it is very unique. I absolutely love the sounds and the feel of this instrument though.
One thing to note: The bridge doesn't fully conceal two of the screw holes originally covered by the stock bridge. This can be clearly seen in the picture of the bridge.
The amount of money I put into upgrading this is well over $400, and the bass itself should be around $400 as well.
PRICE:
$650 $550 Shipped. Comes with Fender gig bag, standard Guitar Center strap + straplocks, and strung with practically new (2 months old) D'Addario Chromes.
