R-bass, Roscoe, STR, etc...
I like natural woods, spacing between 18 and 19mm, and instruments under 10 lbs.

Grady | You'll be sorry...nothing against the "major New York luthier" I've owned 7 of those personally. And now that I have Nordy's..I highly doubt I will get another "major New York luthier" I think I owned 7 of them because while I really wanted to love them...I was never 100% happy. Until I tried the Nordy. You build quality that is every bit as good and a bass that is more comfortable to play IMO. And the tone...wow!
Bump for a nice Nordy..hopefully, you will come to your senses and keep it.

I have nothing against Nordy's...in fact they are hands down the top of the heap for the "traditional style" basses compared to others I have played(havn't touched a Celinder or Alleva Coppola yet). I will openly admit to this being the nicest playing and sounding bass I have ever owned(see my profile for the list it of instruments it beats!). It feels nearly perfect to me profile wise, but if I were to have an ideal Nordy, there would be a few tweaks I would make(classic 34 inch scale, solid finish or natural ash). It comes down to me just not being a huge fan of sunbursts.
Right now i have a chance to spring for a Fodera financially, and wouldn't mind giving it a whirl, but there is no doubt in my mind that at some point I will be ordering a 70's classic VJ5 from Mr. Nordstrand.
So, I suppose I should add that to the potential trade list...a Nordy classic 5er with either single coils or big singles in natural ash or some funky color would make for a cool trade.
Either way, bumping this again, although I honestly wouldn't mind one bit if this thread sits for a few months or if I'm "forced" to hang on to it.

Original owner wanted a more sadowsky profile on the neck and it has a sadowsky pre. Got that expensive rosewood too. Man Robert this baas would rock Bourbon St.
