FS feeler: NYC Sadowsky Original P "Tom Hamilton"

Sign in to disble this ad
NYC Sadowsky Tom Hamilton style P, SN 5290 (still on Sadowsky's NYC sold basses listing near bottom). Butterscotch blonde chambered ash with maple board, 12" radius and 1.5" nut. Has (2) Sadowsky soap's and is a design collaboration between Roger and Tom Hamilton. Master volume, 3 position pick-up toggle, vintage tone control and bass/treble boost. It weighs 8.10 lbs. It has normal playing wear but has never been abused. 2 scratches which are too small to photo. It has the original graphite guard, a clear guard, an antique pearl and a black pearl (installed). all original paperwork and Sadowsky ultra-lite case. No trade offers please. It's a difficult decision to let it go but I have found another bass which has my interest. $3,400.00. Not sure why my pic's didn't upload. Shoot me your email and I can send some. Thanks!

Whats the tone like? I can't imagine it sounds like a P bass ironically...

Tom H. P tone follow up

LS, it sounds like one of his 24 fret 5's with the soaps. There is a good Metro review of the M24 on his website that gives a good but still subjective evaluation of the tone. Thanks!

Tom Hamilton P follow up bump

TB'er's, I found a bass that strikes my fancy so I want to bump my add back up. $3,200.00. The sale would be contingient upon whether or not I like the new bass so before I pull the trigger and have it shipped for evaluation I want to see if selling mine is achievable. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Sadowsky Tom H. NYC P PM follow up

All PM's answered. No trade offers please. The neck profile of this bass is identical to his vintage J4's...1.5" nut and a 12" fingerboard radius. Thanks!
