FS Feeler: Pedulla MVP 5

I'm thinking about selling this mint condition Pedulla MVP a I rarely ever play it. It's a fantastic sounding bass; very strong mids, and very punchy. Has real warm tones, and includes case and all original paperwork. Only owned this one for a month or two, so it's in mint/new condition. Paid $3800 for it new; think I should sell it?

Better not sell it

Only if you wanna lose about half your investment.... economy sucks!! And, Pedullas aren't what's hot right now. I love mine and would love to have yours, but...

I agree with Jedi about parting with gear in this economy, Pedulla's just don't get the respect they deserve so you may take a loss if you have much in it. I love my MVP 5 it can do so much, I doubt I would ever part with it.

great basses, but if you can get 1500 for it and you are thinking about flipping it I would do it.

This is one of the very rare cases where I see it's fretless counterpart doing better in terms of resale, and also imo. That is pretty freakin rare!

That said, love the color and love some pedullas!

I'm not in a rush to sell it- don't need the coin, so I can hold out. If you want to swap it for that red Nara Tobias, let me know

Incidentally this is a 08 NAMM bass according to Pedulla... Looks like most other MVPs to me (which are all of exceptional quality) so I'm not sure that matters

If you just bought it new a month or two ago, couldn't you bring it back to the retailer? There may be a restocking fee but it's not as much of a hit as you'd take with selling it outright.

Pedullas never seem to have a very high resale value, and it's strange.

This is a twisted way to think about things. Sell it or not--it is worth whatever it is worth. You've already lost half your investment--regardless if you decide to keep it or sell it.

I always ask myself, if I didn't own my instrument and someone was selling it for the price that I can sell it for today, would I buy it? If yes, then I keep it; if not, then I sell it. In other words, if you prefer the money over the bass, then already owning the bass should not affect that preference.

So, if you didn't own this Pedulla today, would you pay $1600 to buy it?

You should post a picture for us to better advise you on selling.
