Hey Guys,
I've been tossing and turning restlessly, contemplating whether or not I should put this one up. I have a couple of other basses up for sale to make up some funds that seemed to have escaped my wallet, and if one of them sells, this will be off the market, or vice-versa.
Anyway, I had this built by the famous "Rob L" at the shop and he delivered big-time. This bass turned out every bit as perfect as I imagined... and the major bonus is that it's only
6.7 pounds!
Here are the specs:
Sadowsky NYC 24-fret 4-string
* Ash body
* Maple neck with highly-figured birdseye maple fingerboard.
* Dark Cherry Burst finish
* Sadowsky Single-Coils in 60's position.
* Black Hardware w/Hipshot D-tuner
* Comes with a Sadowsky Porta-Case
The light weight does NOT affect the tone at all. There is minimal neck dive when sitting without a strap, but not as much as you would think. It's definitely not annoying, as I play it sans strap all the time. With a strap there is no dive whatsoever. You could literally have this bass on your shoulder all day and you wouldn't feel it.
I paid just north of $3,900. I'm putting this out there for $3,400 (check or MO preferred). Sorry, no trades.
This bass has only seen one gig and is in pristine condition.
Please NO LOW-BALL OFFERS. I'm only selling it if I can get this price for it. If not, it is no problem to keep it. If you really want it, come and get it ASAP before I change my mind. I'm probably insane for doing this in the first place, but that hasn't stopped me in the past... damn you GAS!!
