My baby....
1983 Fender 62' Reissue P-Bass, born on 01-17-83 (neck date). Not super minty, but honest play wear. Original owner was a flats player, so frets are in great condition. Lightweight (no scale, sorry.... I'll see what I can do). Some wear spots on the upper body and outer edges, but nothing obnoxious. No wear spots that affect the playability at all. The original owner made a few "upgrades". In all actuality, nothing that degrades the playability or sound of the bass. A BAII bridge was added (5-screw, no additional holes, I do not have the original). The tone pot was replaced at some point, as were the pickups (I added the SD QP's when I purchased the bass, originals were not in it). The pickguard appears to be a replacement (thanks King Biscuit!), and I added the newer thumbrest. The nitro finish has dulled a bit over the years, but no major checking. Some slight checking is visible on the rear and on the headstock.
The case appears to be an early Corona era case. I'm not sure if bridge and pickup cover are original. They appear unused and were with the bass when I purchased it. The neck carries a Jan. 83' date, and the volume pot is a late 82'. This neck is to die for. Definitely not the same as the later era reissues. A little hard to describe, but
slightly beefier than the newer ones (which I am also selling), but a bit more "familiar" (if that makes any sense?). It plays and resonates perfectly. I won't be heartbroken if it doesn't sell

An unexpected transition back to guitar playing has forced me to sell (at least one) of my basses.
Not a minty collectors piece, but not a beater by any stretch. A great bass that will maintain and/or (eventually, when the market comes back) increase in value that can still be played out without having an anxiety attack when someone steps near it. An actual "light-relic"....
