FS: Fender Aerodyne Jazz (P + J)

This is the Japan-only "gun metal gray" with black PG. The only way to get this bass is to import it or buy it used from someone who has.

I think it's the best looking color scheme of all the Aerodynes. Recently set up by Mike Lull. It's a GREAT bass. I'll post the Bass Player review when I find it.

• solid basswood body
• 9 lbs 3 oz on a digital scale
• very heavy, stainless steel control knobs...like on a high end stereo.

--BUT--

• that version looks like "ass" (to me at least): black, no PG, rear mounted controls
• you would have to pay shipping from japan to get this one
• this one has been professionally set up by mike lull
• comes with gator lightweight case (like the sadowsky lightweight case)

This is the only Fender that I can honestly say I would love to have. NBS!!!! (nothing but sweet) I've already talked the wife into letting me get my 5th bass and our marriage would be in jeopardy if I tried for this, plus the money just isn't there. Don't suppose a trade would be an option?

I was going to get a white one of these as my first "real" bass, but the seller on Ebay flaked out on me.

I got a Stingray instead, which I ended up trading for a PJ anyway.

That was over 3 years ago and I'm still bummed about it!
