Just ordered a new 2011 Fender American Deluxe Precision in Oly White, so some stuff has got to go.
1998 Fender American Deluxe Jazz that I just received in a local trade. I'm not a jazz bass guy. But I love the looks and playability of these, and I keep getting suckered in. Its my third Am deluxe jass from this era and the best playing out of all of them.
Sounds and plays great. Has the big old single pole piece fender/suhr pickups and 3 band eq. 22 fret maple neck with abalone markers. Neck is nice and straight.
Bridge has string through and top load options.
The bass is in pretty nice shape, it has a couple of cosmettic nicks and things, and the previous owner did bestow some buckle rash upon it. I took a flash photo outside that really exagerates the appearance of it. Nothing major and nothing thru the paint. Feels fairly light. A little under 9lbs.
Comes with the molded American Deluxe OHSC.
