FS: Fender American Deluxe V - 3TSB/Maple - OHSC

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey fellas,

Just acquired this beauty in December...

My thoughts: GREAT "Fender" tone that doesn't break the bank! NICE BURST on this one!!

This was originally a small project bass - wanted to add a set of Nordstrand single coils, change the pickguard, and possibly add a pick up cover for a more "vintage-esque" everyday jazz gigger. I only got as far as having a black pearloid pickguard cut/installed, which I thought was cool spin on a plain black guard for this particular vintage color scheme, and is actually less "grey" than the pictures may lead you to believe.

Now I need the cash.

Includes OHSC and all case candy (unopened).

Paid $1699.00 plus tax/shipping.

PRICE DROP - $1000.00 shipped in the US.

The specs are:

Body Select Alder
Neck Maple, Modern “C” Shape,
(Satin Polyurethane Finish)
Maple (9.5” Radius/241 mm)
No. of Frets 22 Medium Jumbo Frets
Pickups 2 Samarium Cobalt Noiseless 5-String Jazz Bass Pickups
Controls Master Volume, Pan Pot, 3-Band Active EQ with:
Treble Boost/Cut: /- 10 db @ 8kHz, a shift in the cut frequency, and about a 2dB slope per octave.
Mid Boost/Cut: 10dB, -15dB @ 500Hz, and a wide band slope.
Bass Boost/Cut: /- 12 db @ 40 Hz, with a 4dB slope per octave.
Pickup Switching Pan Pot
Bridge Deluxe Chrome Plated 5-String Steel Bridge Plate (Strings-Thru-Body or Top Load), with Nickel Plated Brass Saddles
Machine Heads Fender/Schaller Deluxe Lite-Bass Tuning Machines
Hardware Chrome
Scale Length 34” (864 mm)
Width at Nut 1.875” (47.6 mm)
Unique Features Posiflex™ Graphite Neck Support Rods,
18 Volt Power Supply,
5-Bolt Neck Plate,
Contoured Heel for Easier Access to Upper Frets,
Two Hipshot String Trees,
4 Over 1 Under Tuning Machine Array,
Abalone Dot Position Inlays,
Rolled Fingerboard Edges,
Highly Detailed Nut and Fret Work

Thanks for looking,

U

I have this same bass. (different pickguard) Its a very nice
combination that somewhat bridges the gap between an
Alder/Rosewood and an Ash/Maple bass. Very versatile. I"m
not a big Maple board fan, but this is my main tool. Great bass.

+ 1 in a BIG way!!!

Heck, if it wasn't because of a family emergency, this baby would be staying with me.

Whoever snags her is in for a treat!

I'd love to find just one of these maple necks to swap for the rosewood on my Fendowsky.

That doesn't help you with your sale though.

Great looking bass.

Considering trades now.

Would like to hear from anyone with a 4 string p-bass or jazz bass of equal value.

Thanks!
