For sale only. 2005 Fender American Jazz Standard with S-1 switching. If you are not familiar with the S-1 switch it is a button on the first volume knob that allows you to run the pickups in series or parallel. To my ears, when the button is applied it gives the bass a fatter, warmer sound and also brings the harmonics out very loud and clear.
This bass has a small nick on the back and two small nicks on the head stock (pics included). There are a couple of other very light surface scratches that I could not get in pics, but look like they could be buffed/polished out. The pick guard has two spots on it where the factory stickers were on the bass for years and the rest of the pick guard faded or colored. So you can see lighter spots on the pick guard where the stickers were (the American flag sticker, and a sticker explaining the knobs). This has not been my bass long so I am not totally sure what's up with the pick guard, but jazz pick guards go for like $20 on TB all the time, so I'd just grab a new one. Other than that the bass is in great shape, the frets look good, low action, plays great, straight neck, everything works fine. Sells with the original hard shell case and truss rod wrench. The serial number is z5019204.
It weighs 8.8 lbs. on my precise bathroom scale....
$750 shipped in the U.S.
I will ship overseas, but will not sell the bass and case separate and any shipping charges over $50 will be at your expense.
Nicks on headstock....

Nick on back (small and hard to get a photo of)
