FS: Fender American Standard Jazz Bass - Orange - S-1

Sign in to disble this ad
Number two of the collector basses I've had over the years. This one is a 2006 MIA Standard Jazz bass in Sunset Orange over an ash body. Has the S-1 switch that to me, is pretty darn neat. This guy is in mint condition. Plastic is still on the pickguard, no signs of wear or other marks. Comes with a new style Fender SKB hard case and candy.

Asking $950 $925 $900 shipped Conus. Paypal okay. International buyers are welcome, please PM me your country, city and postal code for a quote. Sorry, not interested in trades.

Saweet!

I have this basses rosewood twin. The S-1 is pretty cool, makes it very versitile - and I wish it were still made. Mine has more road wear - but these are fantastic. Someone buy this now bump - they will be worth some moola some day!

Wow, I like this one. If only I had more than $0... I would buy this in a heartbeat if it was still available when I had the money.

Also, what and where is the S-1 switch? I just see the standard Tone and volume knobs.

I've been looking for a nice maple board J and I do love "orange"!

Can you tell me how much this one weighs?

Thanks for all of the great comments - this one will be missed.

I'm traveling on business and will weigh the bass as soon as I get home. On a whim, I would say somewhere around 8.5 lbs.

Gives the option to switch the pickup coils series/parallel wiring. Standard Jazz Bass wiring is in parallel.
In series mode the instrument outputs less high frequencies, but has more lows and low mids and a higher output. In series mode, the instrument has only one volume and tone controls.

It sounds like a P bass when engaged. Gives it that deep thump they are known for.
