It's a ... Fendowsky!?

Hey all,
I've been going through gear like crazy here and this is the next one on the chopping block: the new Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V in olympic white and tort guard. Bought it about a month ago and it's was a very sweet sounding bass. I can't believe how nice the pickups sound. Compared them with a Lollar set, and they were really up there! Everything stock, except I had the Sadowsky onboard preamp with VTC installed. The tech looked everything over and did a great setup job as well. Bass weighs about 9.6 lbs but doesn't really feel that heavy for some reason... I think it's because of the lightweight Hipshot tuners on the bass. I had an AV62 bass that weighed about that much and felt much heavier for some reason...
It's a late 2007 model with 2008 features, so the High Mass Vintage (HMV) bridge, better pickups (more vintage sounding), really sweet neck, lighter thinner finish (tech verified and showed me just how much thinner it really is) and lighter headstock tuners as mentioned above.
Note that the tech also applied shielding paint inside the cavity to reduce noise. It helped immensely! They are so-so shielded from the factory, but this really made it quiet. He also routed a battery box. Everything looks VERY OEM.
I'm really happy with how it turned out, but I just don't need a 5-string bass. Thought I could use it, but I play so much contemporary Christian music that I just can't use it like it should be used

One thing that was nice about the 5 over my usual 4 strings is what I like to call "position" playing. For songs in the keys of E or F (and especially Eb, D, Db..etc.) it was really awesome to just play those lower notes and not have to go up the neck to play the rest of the notes in the scale. Not sure if that makes sense... For instance...say the song is in the key of E...well without a de-tuner (which kinda messes with you before you get used to it), sure you can play the low E by ringing out the 4th string (and playing the rest of the chordal tones by ringing open strings) but nothing compares to chilling on the 5th fret B string and just staying there!
The Sadowsky preamp was the only choice for me. IMO, it's the sweetest "Jazz on Steroids" tone out there. Pretty close the Aguilar OBP-1, but less drastic and thus probably little tighter in the lows, and more meaty in the trebles. Will Lee, Marcus Miller, and plenty of other big names use Sadowsky basses, I thought long and hard about buying an RV5, but decided against it because they don't come up as often as I'd like and when they do, they're usually around $2000, which was too much for me. About $1000 for the Fender, and a few hundred into the "Sadowsky" sound. It has a push-pull on the passive tone knob to bypass the preamp, in case you want to go passive for a song or session or something. Really nice feature there.
Anyways, It's in perfect condition as the pictures show, and comes with the newer SKB style fender cases and tools.
It was hard to decide what to put this at price-wise, especially since not many are sold on here (hard to kinda gauge the price). The Sadowsky on-board preamp runs $260 shipped from Sadowsky in NYC, plus the cost of a new control plate and knobs, plus the tech's fee for a few hours spent routing the side jack and wiring it all up, so I think this is quite a deal (still cheaper than a new one from Fender + all the extras).
I am selling to fund my recent purchase of a Dingwall Super J

I really like the grain of the rosewood fretboard!
And the colors on the board are really pretty. It's got a darker color overall, but the lighter browns in the treble side are actually very beautiful.
And it still has some of the factory stickers on it haah
Amazing job on the side jack install. Looks like it came from the factory as such!
The battery box also looks very OEM.
Having owned AV62 Fender's for a couple years before this bass, I forgot what a nice THIN satin (even a poly satin) finish feels like. It's very smooth and doesn't grab like gloss nitro (though, i did get rather used to the glossy nitro and it doesn't bother me like it used to).
