Hey all, up for sale is a Fender BG-29 acoustic bass. I bought this bass in 2004 and have only used it on two gigs, the rest of the time it has been used for practicing or simply stayed in the closet.
The bass is a short scale (30" I think) instrument with spruce top and mahogany sides/back. This instrument has a very nice acoustic tone, compared with other ABGs that I have tried (Michael Kelly, Dean, Alvarez, Ibanez), and in my opinion, is much more comfortable to play due to the short scale.
There are two spots on the bass that need to be mentioned. There is a scratch on the back from a shirt button; and on the lower bout close to the input jack, there is a small amount of wear through the first layer of finish, otherwise, it is in great condition! Also, the case is in great condition except for one thing, one of the latches doesn't have a spring, so it comes open every so often, but it has three others to help keep it closed!
