This is the Special Edition Relic 64 Jazz in Black. They only made 30 of these, and I was lucky enough to snag one from a store here in town a couple of days ago.
I was unlucky enough to have some car issues, so I need to turn this bass around QUICKLY! As in, I bought this bass on Saturday....two days ago. It has about 4 hours of total playing time on it.
It's a great bass. Sounds like a jazz should sound: Punchy, and full of life. All the notes are nice and even up and down the neck. Feels like a Jazz should feel: The neck on this bass is amazing! It is narrow and comfortable....just like a 64 jazz bass. It has an interesting dull finish, but not the completely bare neck on some relic basses.
It looks amazing too. This bass had a really convincing relic job done to it. Not over the top.... I took it to a couple of rehearsals, and everyone thought I had purchased a real vintage jazz.
On Ebay they are selling for 2399.00
I will sell it here for 2200 shipped. Save myself the hassle of an auction and ebay fees, and save you 100 dollars.
Comes with all of contents of the case, of course.
