For Sale (only): CIJ Fender Aerodyne Jazz. This thing is in very nice condition and plays beautifully.
Full Disclosure: Aerodynes tend to be a little neck-heavy and the stock Fender tuners have been replaced with Hipshot UltraLite HB6Y 1/2". They are much lighter tuners and the bass is very well-balanced with them. The pegholes were drilled out and not very skillfully, with the result that there's some minor cosmetic damage to the headstock. The front of the headstock was slightly dinged and has been touched up with a black Sharpie. You can barely see the damage but it's there. The back of the headstock has the original tuner screwholes exposed and there's a chip around one of the pegholes. The smoked chrome finish on the neckplate is a little "mottled" which seems to be a common issue.
All the original smoked chrome hardware on the headstock is now shiny chrome. The rest of the hardware on the bass (on the body) is original smoked chrome. I don't have any of the original headstock hardware (it went to a fellow TB'er).
The bass is in overall very very nice condition, with only some minor pick scratching around the pickups. No serious dings or dents or scratches. Plays and sounds great.
If you're a Fender purist this probably isn't for you. If you've ever wanted to try an Aerodyne and are interested in one that's balanced better than new, this might be a low-risk way to try it out.
