FS: Fender Heartfield DR-6 6-String

There isn't alot of info about these basses, but they essentially were a small production bass that Fender produced in the early 90's. I believe the basses were made by FujiGen, and were generally regarded to be very high-quality instruments. They all had active electronics and an additional "Low Z Output". Apparently, the Heartfield pickups were made by EMG.

The DR-6 offered 6 strings, gold-plated hardware, hum-cancelling pickups and a 12" radius fretboard. DR-6 necks are reinforced with graphite to eliminate dead spots and increase sustain. The graphite is extended to cover the head stocks to promote better sustain and tonal balance.

Two high-output, single coil pickups power the DR basses. And a pickup pan pot lets you mix and blend each pickup with the other.

The DR series also features sweep switches and on/off frequency sweep controls. And with the direct out low impedance jack, you can plug directly into a P.A. system or mixing board to insure a clean, pure amplified sound.

Specially-designed heavy-duty bridges also increase sustain. And the slim, smooth necks are outfitted with deluxe sealed tuning machines.

This bass was used by Steve Bailey throughout the 90's, and I hear still used occasionally today.

PRICE DROP: $475 Also included is a decent gig bag. It's in very good condition, with only light finish scratches, etc.

To answer a few questions:

Spacing is 19mm, and weight is a reasonable 9.6 lbs (reasonable for a 6-string).

I'm going to assume that's Steve Bailey picking his nose with his own Heartfield...not this one that's for sale.

I've been looking for another 6 string, and this one looks good, but it's yet another instance of NEBA* afflicting me.

Officially it is 860mm (33.858") scale length. I have a blue DR5 without the fender logo.

Heartfields are very nice basses.
Someone's gonna be happy with this one.

I'm still tracking this bass, hoping it's still here when my bank account shows a (considerably) bigger balance, and no expensive-to-fix emergencies rear their ugly head.
